Hi Travis: Thank you so much for serving our country. You are very handsome (still), and you have a beautiful family who loves you unconditionally. Your personality that has been described on your home page, resembles your physical traits, so I know it is true, because "nice and fun" radiates from your smile. Keep smiling, because you are fortunate in that you returned to your family, and I can assure that having you back injured is far better than not at all! You are young, and I am betting that better limb replacement are in the horizons. I plan to donate to your family in the near future, I am waiting on some issues to be resolved. So, look out for me in the near future. Love and with great honor and respect for you! Gloria in California

Mills, I'm not sure what brought me to your blog, but I'm here. I wanted to confess that i try not to think about your injuries or Bernardo's or the other guys' . It makes me really uncomfortable to think that those terrible things happened. I think it is because i don't know how i would handled it if that happened to me. I see you sometimes and observe how you carry on with your life. It's amazing to see how you do it. I don't know where i'm going with this, but I wanted you to know that i have so much respect for you. Not because of the shit you did , but because of what you've done since. Sometimes life overwhelms me. Army, personal, everything. Then every once in a while i see you or someone talks about you, and i realize that if you are doing this whole life thing, that I need to do a better job at valuing my own. So yeah, Just.. I hope you continue to fight for yourself in life, and really do enjoy it. I'll try the same.

Hi Travis, I just watched you and Taylor Morris playing wheelchair rugby on Taylor's website...good job! It was quite awesome this past week to see Brendan Marrocco with his double arm transplants. I know he has alot of work ahead of him but you guys just don't give up! Hopefully this procedure will be completely successful and others will also be able to benefit from these remarkable medical advances. I hope things are going well for you and your family. Keep up the good work and the positive attitude. Thoughts and prayers always.

Hey Travis, just wanted to say thanks for what kind of man you are. There needs to be more like you in our military. I've been in the Navy for going on 2 years now, and each day I'm more honored to be able to be numbered among men like you. I hope I will be able to make a difference and serve our America the best that I can. My ship has your story posted on a board, and opportunities for us to serve. I'm hoping to be able to participate in the Tough Mudder in order to give back a little. Thanks again, Hooyah!
