Dear Travis and family, You are indeed an inspiration to us all. Thank you for your service to the country. My prayers for you and your family are for strength, hope, laughter, love, and for prosperity. May the Lord bless you and keep you, to make His face to shine upon you and to be gracious to you, and He lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace.

God bless you and your family. Thank you for your service to our Country. Your courage, tenacity as well as your sacrifice are an inspiration to those of us from previous wars. I saw your picture on Face Book and it brought both joy and old memories full of anger that I still carry and have never been able to completely forget, then I see an inspiration like you and my physical and mental wounds seem insignificant. ...............Sgt. Larry W. Deason, SR. USMC 1966/69

I admire you bright smile through all this. I admire your service for our country. I wished someday I could meet you and be able to shake your hand. I have a nephew who served over in Afghanstan 2 times and might have to go again. I will keep you in my prayers continually. May God continually be with you and your family. Dear Travis, I would like to tell you this, you are my inspiration in life. I am a senior in high school and for my English class I have to write a 4 page paper on who inspires me in life. I had no one in this world who inspired me outside of my family. I stumbled across you and my whole output on life changed by reading your story. You are truly an inspiration to many and a hero to all. Your wife is a very supportive person. So I've decided to do my paper on you and your family. Take care.

Travis, I recently was faced with an athletic injury, caused from running, and I was really feeling sorry for myself until I stumbled across your story. After reading about your battles and visiting your website to get a better understanding as to what you have been able to overcome; I am truly inspired and motivated to appreciate what I have and work hard to press on with all of my endeavors. It is crazy how the story of a complete stranger can be so moving. Thank you for being such a great example. I am from a small town (more like village) in WI, currently living in Tampa, FL, and I must say that there is no greater gem than being from a small town. YOU are not just a small town hero but a hero to the world. You are in my prayers! Stay positive and God will contine to favor you. HOPE, FAITH, and LOVE!

Dear Travis, I will never forget the first time I saw you. You were in Afghanistan and you came thru my operating room. I remember saying to you "Hang in there Travis we will do everything in our power to get you home". We then started your surgery. I do not personally know you and you do not know me but we have a bond. I do my very best not to think about that day because my heart is crushed every time I think of you along with every other service member that came thru our hospital. But several of us were worried about the life you would have. You are beyond amazing with your determination! You are just another piece that puts my heart back together knowing you are living to the fullest. Just know that you have a special place with 50 other people who constantly think about that day. We all pray for you and your family!

Dear Travis and Kelsey, It looks like your Vassar homecoming was amazing!! Thank you for posting the interviews you gave to the local TV channels. I was very happy to see that your homecoming made the front page of my hometown newspaper in Hendersonville, NC (western NC) on Friday. You deserve to be on the front page of every newspaper! Chloe probably liked all the attention too! She is such a little sweetheart! You are making such great progress. I'm sure it is hard work but with the support from family and friends and your positive attitudes you will make it! Keeping you all in prayers always.

WOW...we saw you on Fox news today!!! It was a wonderful segment and showed Travis' progress beautifully!! What a joy to see the homecoming. My favorite pix was of the elderly "soldier" standing before Travis, looking like he was about to salute. How touching that must have been.

You are why we are blessed here in the USA. Thank you for all you and your family sacrifice everyday. You are a strong and inspirational hero. I was blessed to have the 82nd Airborne next to me in HAITI after the earthquake so we could provide medical care. Never have I met such dedicated and brave men and women. It was an honor to know them and if ever I can help in my own way I said I would. So now is the time I start. I will continue now to support your cause even if it is just donating in monetary ways to wounded soldiers. Thank you and all the 82nd Airborne. Hoorah...
