Travis, you are truly a hero! My father was an amputee, only his leg, but I saw and lived what he went through. He was an amazing man. YOU are an amazing man. With your tenacity and remarkably good attitude, you will be amazed at what you will be able to do as time goes by. My father was in the VA hospital in the 70's. In there was another remarkable soldier. He had stepped on a landmine and lost an arm and his legs. He broke his first legs trying to dance! He laughed and kept the morale up in his ward. I see you as being like that young man. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. I wish you and your family all the good in the world to come your way. God bless to you and yours. Thank God that a little girl will have her father to grow up with. Love to all of you.

Hello Travis, As I watch your progress I am overwhelmed with pride and appreciate for you and for our great country. In the trying times of today and everyone's displeasure at the state that our country is in, it brings such true honor and joy to see young men like yourself who sacrifice so much and yet still honor us with your spirit and the strong will you continue to show us. God Bless you young man and thank you so much for your service and sacrifice. You and your family will always be in my prayers. God bless, Reina Farley

Travis, you are truly an American Hero. The smile I see on your face in your photos is nothing short of amazing! It is very clear that you are one of those rare individuals willing to give their life so that Americans may sit safely in the comfort of their homes and that thought brings tears to my eyes and leaves me unable to speak. I sincerely pray that you and Kelsey grow even closer in the days and years ahead. I hope that rather than sitting back to see what the government does or doesn't do, that the people of these United States continue to care for and to support you and your family. I am proud to be an American but even more I am proud to know of you, TRAVIS MILLS, a true American Hero.

I'm sitting here at work thinking about my life and what I've done that I can complain about and there is nothing that I've endured that could even compare to what you have gone through. I can't imagine the journey you've taken and how you have survived, but you did. I'm so humbled that I don't think I will ever complain again about anything going wrong in my life. Your story has lifted me to a new height and I'm so very grateful for soilders like you that sacrifice your lives to keep us safe and able to live our lives the way we do. You will be in my heart for a long long time and I wish you Gods speed on your journey through life. I'm sure it will be amazing.

The word "inspirational" does not fully capture the essence of the feeling one gets when reading/hearing your story. As glory fades and life goes on, I pray you find an endeavor worthy of such a great mind and greater attitude. Semper Fi Army Dog.

Seriously I just have to tell you that you have the most adorable baby I've ever seen and I have two little red-headed babies of my own that I cherish! :) It is very inspiring to think of how that little girl will grow up with two such very impressive human beings as parents. Taking such a challenging experience for both of you in such great stride with smiles in almost every picture is amazing and I look forward to following your journey! God Bless!

I just recently severly broke my wrist ---cannot even IMAGINE the pain and suffering you soldiers go thru, not to mention the agonizing rehab. I so very much admire you and those brave men and women that serve on the lines. You have obviously been blessed with a great atitude of gratitude which translates into peace and hapiness, fabulous family and many friends to stand by your side. May God bless you richly.

I just saw your story, and you are the fucking man. I want to thank you for all you've done. I am an amputee myself, but just a leg, but don't have half the courage you have. I wish the best for you and yours, and that life will be good. Thank you.

Ginny Griffith said:   October 5, 2012 5:40 am PST
What an incredible inspiration you and your family are. My father served in Vietnam; I, was therefore, brought up in a household where you respected soldiers. Period. But your courage, tenacity and positive outlook with the major challenges that you have been handed all because you VOLUNTEERED to protect the freedoms we take for granted, should be inspiration to us all. Period. Thank you for choosing to share your story with us. May you continue to heal~Mind AND Body~be supported and Never forgotten.

Travis, I am pretty sure you spend some part of everyday thinking what did I do for all this attention. Guess what, you are a HERO, a Soldier, an American patriot and a man who should be thanked on a regular basis for your service to our country, injuried or not this should be the case. You have that special spark - I can see it in your eye that tells people "it's all good". You and countless others like you are the reason we live the way we do. God bless you and your beautiful family, sir. May the light always shine on you!

Travis, I just wanted to say thank you for serving our country. I was born in Germany. My husband was born in Colombia. We are both now American citizens. We both love this country deeply! It is infuriating to see how little our government at this point actually supports and honors you and your fellow warriors. You are all heroes to us! Thank you again! Sincerely and humbly we are forever in your debt, Marco & Linda Cruz

I was so thrilled when I went to the website and found that you've moved the updates to a blogspot. All the new info was just great! And while we rejoice with you over all of the amazing accomplishments, we want to remind you that we will not cease praying for you all. There is so much ahead and we trust that the Lord will continue to support you and give you the strength you need. Much Love!!
